About me

**Site under construction**

I am currently a postdoctoral research associate in Jessica Miesel’s laboratory at Michigan State University, where I study the effects of prescribed fire in the Moquah Barrens of northern Wisconsin, along with U.S. Forest Service collaborators. We are investigating a suite of fire ecology topics, including the soil heating process, forest carbon stocks, and soil microbial response to fire.

I love my job.

I completed my PhD in Michael Anderson’s lab at Wake Forest University, where I studied the ecology and evolution of grass silicon accumulation.
