During my time as a teaching assistant in WFU’s biology department, I have become passionate about teaching and undergraduate education. I have had the opportunity to teach introductory biology labs for non-majors, as well as introductory ecology & evolution for biology majors. As a teaching assistant, it is my goal to maintain an inclusive classroom environment which creates confident student scholars who feel enabled to succeed. Below is some of the feedback I received from my Spring 2016 Bio 101 students.

Assisting with Dr. Gloria Muday’s (WFU) genetics outreach project at local middle schools throughout Winston-Salem, NC. My bio 101 students joined me in teaching lessons on plant traits, Mendelian genetics, and genetic modification.
